Spartan Angling

Nashwauk Keewatin High School math teacher Luke Adam applied for a DNR grant to start a Fishing class and was successful. His class started in 2019. Mr. Adam's intention was to tach kids a life skill that they could take forward and use for life. The class learns how to fish, where to fish, where to find different kinds of fish. They have a lending library where kids can check out equipment to fish with.  They do field trips each year to allow the kids to test their skills.

You can learn more about the class here and if so inclined please donate to support the classes needs like for transportation to their fishing field trips.

Mission

We are dedicated to the betterment of youth angling in Minnesota and are pioneers in our craft. Our goal is to equip youth anglers to be stewards of Minnesota’s waters by teaching them the art and science of angling. Graduates of this class possess the skills needed to be lifelong anglers who will be successful on the water, yet aware of conservation methods to preserve the future.
